Ingredients for around 1 Litre

Basic Formula: 1 cup dry seeds (then soak) + blend with around 3 cups of drinking water

  • 3 cups clean drinking water (around 600–750 ml)
  • 3/4 cup raw almonds *
  • 1/4 cup cashews *
  • 2–3 medjool dates, pitted (or more to taste)
  • 1/8 bourbon vanilla bean (scratch out the inside) or vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tsp coconut flower sugar (to taste)
  • 1 dash ancient salt or Himalayan salt

*Pre-Preparation:

  1. Soak almonds for 8 up to 24 hours in plenty clean drinking water. If you soak them more than 12 hours chance the soaking water after 12 hours.
  2. Soak cashews either at room temperature for 2-4 hours or in the fridge for 8-12 hours.
  3. After soaking drain and rinse well.

Instructions:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  2. Place your nutmilk bag in a bowl and pour in the mixture. Close the nut milk bag on top and squeeze out the milk into the bowl. Squeeze really well so that the remaining fibre inside the nut milk bag is as dry as possible.
  3. Your BlissMilk is now ready.

My Advice:

This plant-based milk can be stored in the fridge for around 1-2 days. By adding specific probiotic cultures you actually turn this milk into an even healthier drink and also extend its shelf life.

Version 1:
Add 1 teaspoon of probiotic millet mix (sprouted, fermented and dehydrated millet in powder form – full of probiotics) into the smooth mix and then squeeze it through the nut milk bag.
Example for this probiotic mix.

Version 2:
Add 2 capsules of vegan probiotic powder or a tablespoon of rejuvelac into the ready milk. Let it ferment at room temperature for 8-24 hours or simply put it in the fridge so that it ferments more slowly and holds even longer.

Recipe-Idea

Enjoy the BlissMilk in many different ways like warm when freshly made, cooled from the fridge, with your cereals or as a base for your raw vegan Chia-Bliss-Pudding, for drinks or also as a milky foam for dessert. What remains in the nut milk bag you can dehydrate and use as a base for all sorts of crackers, cookies, bread, etc.
